PNINA@Gitex-Dubai
2003
PNINA participated as exhibitor in the
Palestinian Pavilion as one of two major IT projects in
Palestine and six private companies that exhibited their
products in mobile, administration, financial and
educational areas.
Mission Goals
The main goal for PNINA participation in
Gitex was to inform the Palestinian people and other
individuals and communities outside Palestine about the
new domain and the benefits of registering an Internet
address under that domain. Another goal was to meet other
registries within the Middle East region and learn from
their experience, share ideas and build the basis for
future mutual and regional cooperation.
Mission Achievements
In general the two main goals were
successfully achieved.
Exhibiting at Gitex Dubai 2003:
From around 500 visitors to PNINA booth
within the Palestinian Pavilion, 300 showed their real
interest to register names under the .ps and registered
their names and emails to be contacted as soon as the
registration starts. An Email distribution list was
compiled of these names and will be used as the basis of
PNINA email database to be used for promotional and
marketing alerts and notifications. All visitors were
briefed about the .ps history, when and how it was
delegated and the benefits of registering names under it.
A promotional package that includes a PNINA folder,
promotion cards, business cards, datasheet and a poster
was handed over to each visitor. In addition we
distributed more than 2000 promotional cards that promote
the, ps domain and the PNINA website to encourage people
to register their names at the website also.
During the exhibition, several regional
and Palestinian ISPs and IT companies showed their real
interest in being a Certified Registrar with PNINA to
promote and register names on behalf of other companies
and individuals.
